SHIP'S COOK DISAPPEARS.
CHKISTCHURCH, Oct. 4. On arrival o| the steamer Kaua, from Newcastle, yesterday, it was reported that: William Corsa, who has a naive of Glasgow, joined the vessel at Sydney. He was a single man. He had been suffering from the effects of alcohol and it is surmised he jumped overboard in a fit of delerium tremens.
