VESTY’S MEAT DEAL. WELLINGTON, October 4. The member for Egmont asked the Prime Minister last evening if he had received any information in regard to the sale to Vesty’s Ltd. of the whole of the Australian and New Zealand meat held in store by the Imperial Government The Prime Minister replied tp&t he had no more information than had appeared in the papers that morning. If ho did r“?oive any information directly. he would cable the High Commissioner asking him for information. A ROTORUA GRIEVANCE. ROTORUA, October 4. It is stated that a number of Rotorua residents—European and Maori — intend having a case at the Supreme Court to test the question of the admission of the public to Pukeroa reserve as a matter of right, not concession.
