It was explained that the trouble occurred over the internal management of the organisation, and Mr. Murray, the president, resigned. As investigation of matters was proceeding. They also explained the proposals of !rhe transport workers to link up with the seamen, waterside workers, coalminers, and other Unions, making the membership of the new organisation close on forty thousand. It is understood that a resolution was adopted assuring the Transport Workers’ Federation of the seamens’ willingness to co-operate. At the close of it he meeting, the seamen returned to their ships.
