LABOUR-TROUBLES.

I.W.W. IN MEXICO. Received 9.10 a.m. MEXICO CITY, Sept 27. I: is believed that the teffoits of the I.W.W. to engage Mexican labour in a general strike, which was fixed for Ist October, have failed. Denioust rations were held throughout Mexico on Sunday, but the proceedings were orderly, and only resulted in resolutions relating, to the cost of living. The I.W.W. delegates had announced previously that the mee ings were being called to arrange for Mexican participation in a gcuoral strke planned to take place thrdtighout the American Continent, and which was afterwards to spread over the whole world.

AN ABORTIVE STRIKE

UNIONS FINANCIALLY CRIPPLED
