TAXATION PROPOSALS.
POSSIBLE AMENDMENTS. WELLINGTON, Sept. 23. Replying to a deputation from the Chamber of Commerce Conference, Mr. Massey said that the taxation proposals had been referred ..o the Public Accounts Committee. The Bill before the House was the result of the labours of the Committee. Possibly in some respects some of the Clauses might not quite express the opinions of the Committee, and during the Bill's progress through the House, might repuire to be amended.
