MARTON STOCK SALE The N.Z. Farmers Co-op Distributing Co. Ltd., report having held their fortnightly sale in their Marton yards on Monday last, when a heavy yarding of hoggets again came forward, also a small entry of cattle. The hogget rnarkof was a considerable 'improvement of recent sales, and consequently we disposed of the bulk of aur yarding as follows; Best hoggets 29/4 to 30/-; good medium hotels -6/2 to 26/6; medium sorts 2'2/S to -3/6; culls 16/2 i.o 16//6; fat ewes and wethers 39/-; springing cows' to £l6 5/-; springing heifers to £l2 5/-; empty heifers small £5 J» HUNTERVILLE STOCK SALE. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op Distributing Co. report: On Tuesday the 21st we held our Hunterville Sale when a small yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle came forward. All cattle were fispose'd of with the exception of 4 dairy cows. • Good hoggets were also in good demand. We quote good wooly hoggets mixed sizes 29/8; medium hoggets 24/3; empty cows £5 6/-; forward cows £7 10/-; yearling "heifers 33/6 to £4 10/-; yearling-steers £4 5/to £5 12/6; empty Jieifcrs, small £5 5/-; springing heifers £9 6/-. CLEARING SALE. The N.Z. Farmers 7 Co-op Distributing Co. Ltd., report: On Wednesday the 22nd ins*, we held a very successful clearing sale at ‘ ‘ Warlehig Farm"* Marton, on account of Mr G. A. With* ell when there was a very large attendance of farmers. Outside buyers were present from Eaetihi, Waverley, Feildiug and Palmerston, and every lot submitted mot wi h keen competition. The special feature of the sale was the horses which came forward in splendid condition and were in l good demand. Appended are the principal sales: —
Sheep: 2 and 4th ewes with Leicester lambs at foot 39/-: 6th iro Syr. ditto 37/-; m.s. woolly hoggets 29/-; m.s. shorn hoggets 25/6; small ditto 20//-.
