BAZAAR AND BU LB SHOW.

A GREAT SUCCESS, The annual bazaar and bulb show under the auspices of St Margaret’sChurch was held yesterday afternoon and evening. The bazaar and show were officially opened by His Worship the Mayor in the afternoon, -when Itlkere was a good attendance.

The . display of bulbs, etc. was well up do the standard of previous years, and in the classes there was very keen competition. The arrangements in connection with the Bazaar were all that could be desired, and during the. afternoon and. evening the various' stall-holders and those in charge of the various competitions wore kept very busy, and a great amount of business was ’done. The bazaar and show proved an atraction for iihe public throughout the afternoon and evening, and tre attendance throughout was good. The stalls were &1I artistically arranged, and :he decorations were a credit to thiolse responsible. The supper-room was nicely arranged for the disposal of afteruon tea and supper, and the members of the Guild managed to supply all the delicacies required m spite of the shortage of sugar Same idea of the extent of the business done by the. stall-holders may be gauged by the fact that £72 was taken at one stall.

The splendid success achieved is duo to the efforts of the joint secretaries, to the members of the Gu5 I d, and to those who rendered assistance with stalls, ete*> The blooms exhibited In the various classes were of good quality, and only in one or two instances were no awards made on account of wrong classification of exhibits. Some of the daffodils were of such excellent quality that they wotfd be worthy of a place in any show. i
