RETURNED SOLDIERS BALL.

The annual ball under the auspices of the Taihape and District Returned Soldiers’ Association will be held in the Town Hall on Thursday, 23rd September. The committee has arranged for music by a special orchestra, and special attention is being devoted to the decorations and to the supper arrangements. In .view of the work which has been done by the R.S.A in regard to the disabled men and to the dependents of deceased soldiers, any function which has for Its object the provision of funds to carry on with such work is deserving of public support. .Tickets are now on sale at the following prices:—Double ?/6, gent’s 5/-, ladies’ 3/6.

On account of Sir Keith Smith’s lecture on the same evening, it has been arranged that.. the lecture will start at 7.30 p.m„ and the Ball at 9.15 p.m. Sir Keith has been invited to attend the Ball
