TWENTY THOUSAND SUBSCRIBED
WELLINGTON, Sept. 16
Mr. Israel Cohen, emissary of the executive of the Zionist organisation, leaves for Australia to-morrow. The rer.ult of his appeal to the Jews of New Zoaland for the Po'estine Restoration Fund has been to raise the sum of £20,000. In addition to this, Mrs. David L. Nathan, of Auckland, has iniated a movement whereby Jewish, women of the Dominion will' provide a fund to train a Jewish "Plunket" nurse in England for service in Pelestine.
Cohen has published a letter expressing his sincere thanks to all who contributed to the success of his mission in New Zealand, a success that has exceeded his anticipation.
