INJURED MAN IN GRAVE CONDITION, GISBORNE, Sept. 17. A hurried -meeting of the Police Court was held this afternoon at the Cook Hospital subsequent, to the arrest of a fitter's apprentice named Alexander Roderick McCrae Williamson on a charge of causing actual bodily harm to (Harry Pritchard at Niven's foundry on September 3rd.

Pritchard was admitted, to the institution two days ago suffering from laceration of the brain. The evidence of the injured man was taken. Accused's counsel applied for bail. SubInspector Cassels objected. The justices decided to grant bail for £SOO and one surety of £SOO. It is alleged that accused struck Pritchard in a fight in the dinner hour and", Pritchard falling, hit his head on iron. At 11 o'clock to-night Pritchard's condition' Iwas 'to be very grave.
