MANGAWEKA GUN CLUB.

YESTERDAY'S SHOOT.

There was a large gathering of gunmen at Mangawcka yesterday, when the Mangaweka Cun Club's Handicap of £SO was competed for. There were twenty-six competitors at the shoot, and the visitors included Mr. Duncan Fraser, the New Zealand champion.

The various competitions resulted as follows: —

£SO Handicap:—F. Quarterman (Mangaweka) and N. P. Spooner (Taihape) shot 13 birds each and divided the stake. Duncan Eraser, B. Burgess (Mar:on), H. Belk (Ohutu), H. A. Hore (MangaTimu), C. E. Gibbons (Marton), E. Beuck / (Mangaweka), and A. Clinton (Ohutn) divided third, fourth, and fifth prizes. Gold Bracelet £5 5/- (donated by Mr. W. J. Coutts):—H. Jensen (ManGarimu) 9 birds, 1; V%. J Beard. C. Gibbons, S. Gibbons, W. McLennan, J. Mortland, and A. Clinton, 8 birds, 2. In the shoot-off for second and third A. Clin;on secured second and W. McLennan third prizes respectively. 27yds Sweepstake: E. MeLaughlan (Taihape) 1. lSwecps.tfi.ke Handicap: C. Gobbohs (Marton) and H. A.
