LONDON, Sept 5 13

It is understood that the Polish delegation leaves to-day for Riga, where it is anticipated that Russo-Polish peace negotiations 'will begin on Thursday.

Meanwhile the prospect of a settlement of the Polish-Lithuanian dispute has greatly improved. Fighting ceases to-day by mutual arrangement, if it has not already ceased. ' Received 8.50 a.m. LONDON ,Sept. 13.

The latest official Warsaw messages State that there has been no important incident on the Polish-Lithuanian front during the past few days. With a view to hastening peace, the Polish delegation has agreed to meet the Lithunians for a preliminary conference at Miriampol before tbe opening of the Riga negotiations. The Allies are doing their utmost to assist, the speedy restoration of peace, and have offered their services to assist towards a settlement. These will probably be accepted, Allied officers acting as advisers to the rival powers.
