The tablet which was erected by church members anfl friends, was of brass mounted on polished rimu and suitably inscribed. Addresses were given by Mr P. H. Spicer, of Wanganui, and Mr Parsons. Both gentlemen referred to the late* Mis s Darvill’s high Christian character and self-sacrificing devotion which was exhibited both in church and home-life. The congregation was a largo and representative one. many of whom had travelled a long distance to be present, which was an indication of the high esteem in which the late Miss Darvill and her parents were held.
