DISPUTE OVER THE STAKES. BARRY DISGUSTED. Receive d 11.45 am. SYDNEY, This day. A further dispute has arisen over the stake money in connection with the sculling championship. Mr Campbell Jones, managing editor of the “Sun/’ and stakeholder, received notice on Monday from Felton’s solicitor objecting to the payment of the stakes in view of litigation. The objection was unofficially withdrawn on the following day. but the stakeholder insisted on an official intimation, whicn is so- belated that Barry is irritated and now declares -he will not collect the stakes here. He added that he was disgusted. The stakeholder could forward the money to the “Daily Mail.” Mr Jones says he will now have to send the money to England.
