SKATING.

Skating is still holding its own, there being yinother record attendance last week. Skating is a Igreat boon for those who have not the opportunity of having 'exorcise during the day as there is no doubt atjput the healthiness of this sport, the intense excitement that prevails through the whole night, the flushed excited, and smiling faces prove how patrons of the skating rink enjoy this healthy sport. The Grand Plain and Fancy Dress Skating Carnival is going to be one of the most gorgeous entertainments tha 1 - Taihape has ever had. The rink will be given over to the Railway boys and friends on the 9th September as a sports night, and a good programme is assured.
