THE WILLOUGHBY ASSASSINATION. GEEAT FEELING IN INDIA. , DETAILS OF THE DEED. DELHI. Sept. 1. . The assassination of Mr. Willoughby. Commissioner of Khsri, hasaroused great feeling in India, which Was reflected, by the Viceroy’s condemnation of the foul deed at a meeting of the Legislative Council. It is expected stern' measures will be taken against the organisers of the Khalifat . campaign. Netails of the assassination showthat Mr. Willoughby was reading a newspaper in his bungalow when the principal assassin entered and made a cut at him wi 1 h a sword, which Jiroujld' have -bach \fathl had it mot struck a punka. Mr. Willoughby rushed ontsidc ami fell into a drain. Men then cut him over rhe skull and aaearly severed one aflm. Four men * were arrested and several others are tirfdar suspicion.
