WEDDING.
FOEBUS-McCOLL. A quiet but pretty wiediding was solemnised by the Rev. W. Lea at the Taihape Methodist Church yesterday morning, September Ist,, the contracting parties being Mr. Gordon Forbes son of the late John Watson Forbes, and Miss Flora McColi youngest daughter of the late Mr. Donald McColl, of Featberston. 'The bride, who was given away by Mr. Walter MeMwain (brother-in-law), was daintily attired in frilled georgette over merosilk. The veil- was of brussels net, caught with Lily of the Valley. The bride was attended by Miss Burnett, and Miss Ve,ra Forbes (sister of :he bridegroom). The former was dressed In opal blue georgette oyer crepe de chine, the after in samon pink mervesilk over crepe de chine. Each wore a cqronet of silver leaves and carried a bouquet nf flowers. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. 'George Parkes as best man, and Mr. Jack Laurensoh as groomsman. Mrs. Ernest Box officiated a': the organ. A .reception was afterwards held at the Carlton. Later, amid showers of confetti, the happy couple left by car for the south where ;t he honeymoon is to be spent. The tbridb's 'trpvejlling suit /was v -of niyger-brown garbaco.rd with hat to match.
