THE OLYMPIC GAMES.
AMERICA HEADS THE LIST.. AUSTRALIANS HANDICAPPED. LONDON, August 31. The Olympic Games have concluded except the football, rowing and equestrian events. The total points are officially announced as follow; America 212, Finland 124, Sweden 95, England 94, France 33, Australia 5, New Zealand 5. King Albert presented the prizes. Parker, the Australian walker, interviewed, said the Australians were not exactly outclassed, but the representatives of <the AAdnning countiries were 'practically on the spot and* carefully trained for months, while the Australians only had fiA r e weeks in a strange laud, to the food of which they were unused. They were entirely uncoached' for eight and a-half weeks, and had a trainer only in the last fortnight.
