LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Dahgety and Company limited, Welling' on report having received nho following cablegram/ (from theijr London house under date of 24th instant; —-“Wool sales opened. Attendance of buyers is large and eompe l ition animated. There is a bettor demand generally, and good selection. As compared with last sale’s closing rates Merino wools, greasy, (54s and above, 5 per cent. ;o 7 h per cent- higher. Merino wool of other descriptions unchanged; Xbred wools fin,a quality, greasy, par to 5 per cent higher. Xbred wools medium quality grfeasy, unchanged. Xbred wools coarse, greasy, neglected; Xbred wools, scoured, neglected; fine slipe wools, Xbred, unchanged; and medium and inferior qualities slipe wools Xbred 5 per cent, lower;' ■’ , TALLOW MAIKET. Messrs. Dalgety and Company report having received the following; cablegram from their London house, under date of ,25th instant:—“Tallow: 1370 casks were offered and 05 soid at about 2/- to 3/- decline. CLEARING SALE. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. distributing Co.. Ltd. report having held a very successful clearing sale at Kimbolton Road, Feilding, on account of M. W. Wilson. A large attendance of buyers were present- and bidding on cows was exceptionally spirited, one well bred Jersey cow realising £47. We quote: —Best cows £4l to £47; good cows £3O to £4.0; others £2O to £25; the whole herd averaging £3O 12s; 'jersey bull 41 gns.; week old heifer calves £6; 2 year heifers £ls 10s, £l7 'o £l9; draught horses £32 to £43. Implements and sundries all brought satisfactory prices.
