CHINA’S WATER POWER.
China plans for a great hydro-elec-tric development, according to a Chinese purchasing agent who recently arrived in the United States in search of equipment. “The big hyd/.0-elee-tric plant will be built in the province of Szechuan” (states this authority), making use of the enormous power, hitherto wasted, of the Yangtsc rapids. Our electrical project will be the first step in the gigantic operation of harnessing the water power in the Upper Yahgtse. whose potential power is far in excess of the Niagara Falls.
