VALUATION OF WOOL AND SHEEPSKINS ON BEHALF OF THE IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT. It is hereby notified for the information of all persons concerned that in accordance with the Notice in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12tb August, 1920, all Wool and Sheepskins, excluding Wool of the 19201921 Clip, and excluding Freezing Works)’ Slipe and Freezing Works’ Sheepskins, delivered for appraisement into registered Government Brokers' Stores on or before the thiritieth day of September, 1920, will be* purchased on behalf of the imperial Government. At that date Valuations of Wool and Sheepskins in the Dominion will definitely cease. To avoid subsequent dislocation of the market the Wool and Sheepskin Brokers have undertaken not to hold auction sales of Sheepskins for six weeks following the 30th September, by which date it is anticipated that all wool-scouring , and fellmongering on behalf of the Kiperial Government will be concluded and the Works available for the purchase and treatment of privately owned Wool and Skins. »

To assist in obtaining this end I would request all farmers bolding Wool and Sheepskins to deliver same to Brokers' Stores as early as possible. W. F. MASSEY, Prime Minister. 25th August, 1920. It is notified for the information of all- concerned that the Controller of the Department of Imperial Government Supplies will, upon receipt of the necessary particu'i rs from Brokers, proceed to make an interim payment to the Growers of Wool covering the period to 31st October, 1919, and in accordance with the arrangement entered into with the Imperial Government. The payments will be made through Brokers by cheque payable to ‘o‘rder > ” Any Grower of Wool who may not already have directed that amounts due shall be applied to another purpose, may receive payment in the present 1920 Government Loan either in Bonds or Inscribed Stock by notifying the Controller of the Department of Imperial Government Supplies, 125 Lambton Quay.
