PROPOSED CO-uP- WOOLLEN MILL A meeting was held at Hamilton on Friday under the auspices of the Farmers' Union to consider the matter of establishing co-operative woollen mills in the Waikato. Mr. Duxfield, who presided, said the feeling of the executive was that the fanner did not get a fair deal in the. disposal of his raw wool products, and! pn the other hand, the users did not get a fair deal either. It was considered that Hamilton, with a hydro-electric ; supply shortly available, would be an | ideall centre for manufacture and distribution. A motion was carried af-
firming the principle of the establishment of a woollen mill in the Waikato on a co-operative basis, ami a committee was set up to give further consideration to the proposal, and bring down a concrete selleme.
