The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op Distributing Co., Ltd. report having held their Huntervillie Sale on Thursday the 12th inst., when a yarding of 900 sheep and 20 cattle cam'e forward. With the exception of one pen of mixed hoggets, all the sheep wiere disposed of under the hammier as follows: 2 tooth ewes in lamb 35/8, 2 tooth wethers 35/4, 2 tooth maiden ewes 35/1, m.s. 2 tooths 25/-, m.s. hoggets 24fi, weanejr steers £4 10s, forward empty cows £9.

GREAT CLEARING SALE. AT MRS BARSBY’S RESIDENCE. On Wednesday Messrs F. Ward and Co. will oeffr for sale tire whole of the very high-class furniture, pictures, Co. will offer for sale the whole of fencing wire ami Marseilles 1 tiles. The furniture includes a magnificent chesterfield suite, besides other requirements in a furnished hou.;e. The ornaments and vases are very choice, the bronzes and chinas being of the most expensive manufacture —dainty and artistic, and to-day are not obtainable at any price. The pictures are also a choice collection, many of those in oil as well as several fine warercolours all being by good, accredited artists. Some of the floor linoleu us are in new condition; there are also two large carpets, one of which is also in new condition. The bedroom furniture is particularly recherche, being all-brass bedsteads, and naif brass, all in perfect order. ; The mattrasses are of the very best, and the toilet furniture with full length glasses are particularly desirable. The auctioneer strongly recommends residents wanting good furniture, good floor-covering, good pictures, very high-class ornaments, exquisite bedroom furniture, and any other article required in furnishing a large or small house, to be present at Mrs Barsby’s sale, Kaka Road, on Wednesday next, commencing at 10.80 a.m.
