SKATING.
A special session for learners only is, being held every evening at 7 p.m, and free instruction will be given and those attending to learn this fascinating sport should start at once. Skating'has a big hold of Taibape and last wdek was a record. The floor has improved and is now a delight to skate on. The management has opened a refrcshmiont room, and it is proving a popular addition to th rink. The hocKey match on Saturday proved a great success the| rovers winning after an exciting game. The' Grand Carnival fa!lls on September. the 30th.
