LONDON, Aug. 9.
Whether Dr Mannix lands at- Liverpool or not, the Irish inteild to make a great demonstration. ‘ Telegrams from Queenstown state that the Baltic arrived off the port at midnight‘ and stopped for an hour while one !of the convoying destroyers entered\Qneen'stown. The purpose of the visit is unknown,‘ but it is supposed that the firemen struck.
A MILITARY PRECAUTION. Received 11_5 a.m. ' LONDON, Aug. 9. Replying to Major Barnes in the House of Commons, Mr Bonar Law said the prohibition against Dr Mannix landing in Ireland was ordered by a competent military authority there.
