RIDDLED WITH BULLETS.

A Limerick clerk named James Dalton, formerly a prominent Sinn Feiner, was shot dead in that city < n the n>ht of May 15. A girl of six years, who came into the line of fire, was wounded -n the leg by one of the bullets. Dalton was attacked by eight or nine men, who had evidently been waiting for him. All the men were armed with revolvers, and several shots were fired point-blank. Dalton fell under the first volley,, and as he tlay in the .street, and made an effort fo ra'se his head, more shots were fired into him.
