CHILDREN'S CONCERT.

A splendid children's programme of instrumental, vocal, and elocutionary items was ' delivered in the Methodist schoolroom last evening. The building., was well filled wit han appreciative audience. - After tflie lopenang organ, solo by Sylvia Simon, the following young vocalists tjook part:—Enid Thompson.. Sylvia Simon, Doris Kilkolly, Hilda Cunninghame, Doma Durand, Thelma Bennett. Joan and Alice Marsh, Noel- Joll, Ernest and Jack Thompson. Recitations were renderedby Hilda Smith, Marjorie Johnson, Rita' Casey, Bessie Darvill, Bessie Millar;. Roma Durand, Doris Kilkolly, Hilda Cunninghame, Elsie and; Allen Carter, Norman MeKenzie, and Willie Bennett. Sylvia Simm and Enid Thompson acted as accompanists. Assistance was also rendered by Mrs L. H. Hayden and Mr? A. Thompson. The evening proved a social and financial success. Proceeds are to be devoted to the purchase of material for the ladies' sowing guild.
