GALLIPOLI WAR MEMORIALS.

LONDON, July 28. Sir lan Hamilton presided over the Gallipoli War Memorial committee. It considered a proposal to erect, a white marble obelisk at Tekke Burma It rejected sites nearer the batt’e grounds owing to their remoteness, al-o because many regimental memorials were contemplated. The committee postponed an appeal for funds until the Government decides whether it will erect a memorial as part of a general scheme.
