QUESTIONS IN THE HOUSE. ' WELLINGTON, July 20. A question was asked iu the House to-day of the Minister of Agriculture by Mr Glenn (Rangitikei), if it was true that Mr Lonsdale manager of the Moumiahaki Experimental .Farm, had resigned-, and if so was the reason given that the farm had been "starved '' for experimental purposes for want of funds? The Minister (Hon. Nosworthy) replied that no official information had been received as to the manager's resignation, although he "Believed there was a possibility of Ms considering whether be should (leave the Government employ or not for the purpose of taking up farming privately. As to the suggestion that the farm had been "starved," there was more money expended upon it last year for experimental purposes than ever before. During last year, -operations had been designedly consisted of demonstration work, but in addition experiments as to top-dressing with various fertilisers, and in renewing clover on old pastures, had been carried out. la order to properly carry out the demonstration work of the year, considerably more working capital was provided than in any previous year, and this was more than returned ill the form of revenue.
