DANNEVIEKB CONTESTS. DANNEVIRKE, July 22. The fifteen-round professional lightweight contest between Harry Holmes and Eugene Volaire for a purse of £2oG under the auspices of ( the Dannevirkc Boxing Association, went the £uil distance. Holmes had a slight advantage throughout, and won on points.Amateur contests resulted as follows: P. Hanna (Hastings) defeated H. Carr (Wellington); G.
