SKATING.
Skating without doubt is getting a big hold on lovers of sport and fun, and it is evident that patrons who go to the rink are more than satisfied with their evening’s sport there. Foe this week there is to. he a hig race of one mile, which is to be held on Thursday; also on the same night the rink will try conclusions with the Rovers, and a good game is assured. Ladies are requested, to roll up on Tuesday evenings, and to bring a partner in order to make their evening a success. The grand plain and fancy dress carnival is to take place early next month, and is going to 1 be one of the greatest skating carnivals ever held fin ’Taihape. Competitors am coming from other centres, so Taihape must be prepared to hold its own. Skating is also privately taught by themanagement.
