ROTORUA, July 19. The Tourist Department offered the waterpipe-laycTs who' are on strike, waterpipe-layers who are on strike, an additional shilling per day, retrospective to March Bth, making the daily wage 13/, and putting the men on an equality with Public Works employees. Negotiations are continuing to ascertain whether the men will accept the offer. STRIKE ENDED. RQTORUA, This Day. The rwaterpipe (layers' strike has ended. The men have accepted the Government's offer of 1.3/ day and resume work this morning.
