A series of motor car accidents have occurred, As the result of a collision on the Loburn-Ashley road, between a car. and a motor-cycle. Law* rence Doyle, riding the cycle, suffered the loss of his right leg, which was* broken in three places. Doyle wa\sf removed to the Christehurcn hospital,, where the limb was amputated. Another collision o n the Riccartott road between a car and motor-cycle resulte'd in the driver of the cycle and his companion being injured, the former having his leg fractured and the later his collarbone broken. A third car and cycle accident occurred on Ferry Roa'' Dr Daniel, on the staff of the mili> y hospital, was driving a car, and in endeavouring to avoid a motor cycle, ran into a telegraph pole. He was cut about and bruised, and rendered nuconscious for some time. The other occupants? were also cut an<j bruised. The cycle struck the car, and was smashed, but the driver and two ladies in the side car all escaped except for minor injuries.
