THE WANGANUI WOOLLEN MILLS

The truly marvellous success achieved in the flotation of a company*for the establishment of woollen mills in Wanganui reflects considerable credit on Mr E. M. Silfe", who was entrusted with such an important task. His greatest asset, however, was the need of the moment., for there seems to be no proposal! fconceivablJß :that would appeal so entirely to the business sense of the commercial and producing community as that which was placed in his hands to bring into fruition. In an amazingly short time the 120.000 shares to be placed before registration were taken up, and still the demand for shares was so great that the provisional directors decided to issue another 80/000 shares, bringing the total issue up to 200,000. The now- issue is going rapidly, and if investors in this district desire to have an interest in the most promising venture in this locality, if not in all New Zealand, they should send along to Mr E. M. Silk, Wanganui, for application forms. All shares taken up now are on the basement floor, there arc no preference or privileged shares, neither is there anything or anybody to buy out —not even a promoter's share is asked for, the promoters knowing that, they are likely to reap such profits from their investments as will satisfactorily re r numerate them. Mr Marshall, of Marton, and Mr Poison, of Wanganui. are two of the promofers, and settlors in this district will feel satisfied that what is good enough for such men is good enough for them.
