WELLINGTON, This Day. The final of the N.Z. Amateur billiards championship was played last night between Frcdatovitch and Warren, both of Auckland. Warren had the best of the game right through. The final score Was; Warren 1500, Fredatoviteh 1233.

The Mayor, on behalf of the Council and himself, thanked the ladies for their invitation. “You can be assured that the Council will accept,” he added; “with regard to the speech, they might like to be spared that. I think you for the invitation, and hope the welcome home will be a great success.’ ’
