FAT STOCK PRICES.
ADVANCE ON LAST VJEEK.
i’l'iceS for choicg and prime ox at the Westfleld ‘sales Yesterday were in advance of last weeks rates.
Messrs Buckland and Sons reported that their supply of beef totalled 304 head, comprising 210 steers, 79 cows and heifers, and six bulls. There was again a, keendemand, and in many -s:a:s‘es of choice and prime ox, values v.=.:-+e‘in advance of last week’s» rates. Extra. choice ox sold up to £2 18/ per 1001b,‘ choice and prime from £2 13/ to £8 17/, ordinary and plain £2 6/ to £2 10/_ Rough beef made from £3 15/ to £2 8/. Cow and heifer beef sold from £2 5/ to £2 12/. Steers ranged in price from 23 to £25 for heavy steers.
NO extra heavy cattle were penned. Lighter prime steers fetched from £lB to £22. light prime from £ls 10/ to ‘£l7, small and unfinished £3O to £ls.
Cows 3.116 heifers made from £l4 10/ to £l6 10/ for heavy cows, lighter from £ll 10/ to ,£l4, others £6 10/ to 10 guineas.
