Sadler went to bed about 10 p.m.. accused not being in at that time. Sadler had a wallet of notes amounting 10 £26 10/ in his possession, which he put under the mattress. In his pocket he left. 12/ in silver and his keys. which opened his suit: ‘case.
In the morning he found the yvallet and the other money missing. ‘After info:-v:‘i.lg The police at Kawa Kawa he late-1' found his watch was missing frbm the suit case, and identified :1 watch taken from accused as his prop -'rty.
Senior-Sergeant Hollis gave evidence of meeting accused on al‘riV:ll of the train fro\ln the North on Thursday. o\Vin,9.‘ to :1 communication H 022: the Kuwa. Kawa police. ACCus(:‘d could give no satisfactory explanation of how the amount of money he had came into his possession, or cf the silver watch either.
