POLISH DISASTER.
FOCH’S ADVICE NOT TAKEN. POLES SUFFER DISASTER IN CONSEQUENCE, ‘ _ PARIS, July 10. Foch arrives from Spa to-night to discuss the Polish Army’s desperate plight with the Headquarters Staff. Foch told the Polish military authorities it was regrettable they did not follow his prudent advice earlier. According to the Chicago Tribune, M. Millerand and Mr Lloyd ‘George consulted Gradski with a view to inducing Poland to submit peace terms to the Bolsheviks simultaneously with the Allies’ proposals. Vienna. reports that the Poles have evacuated Lemberg and that the authorities have gone to Cracow. The Bolsheviks have occupied the outskirts of Lemberg. The Poles have evacuated Vifna.
