RETURNED SOLDIERS’ DANCE.
NEW DANCES ON THURSDAY. The fourth of the series of dances in aid of the Retiirned Soldiers’ Association will be held in the Three Stars Theatre on Thursday next. The committee has arranged to add two new dances, the Maxina, and I the Deating Waltz ‘to the programme. So far as any new dances are concerned, Taihape -has not been keeping pace with other centres, and as there arcnow opportunities provided for learning the steps of the ‘u'f)-to-date dances, the R.S.A. social committee intends to keep its dance programme up—to-date. The only way to popularise new dances is to include them in the programmes. and this policy will be adhered to during the season_ If dancers are not able to pick up the new steps at one dance they cau.=.eas.'ly do so ‘oy attending the other dances of the series. and at the end of the season they will be quite proficient. At. the next dance. special attention will be paid to the two dances named, but others will be added to the prograinine as the season progresses. lf you wish to keep in touch with the up-to-(lute dances. you should not miss any of the R.S.A. series.
