The annual conference of the United Federation of Labour was concluded today. It‘ was decided‘ ‘that the fed; eration should. cease to exist as a national body, and That it should be :1 recommendation to district councils to continue as Trades and Labour Councils,
Further it was" resolved that an endeavour be made to get unions -a.f’filia,t--ed to organise industrially and nationally so that they might become affiliated with the Alliance of Labour.
The question of colourefi labour was discussed, and the conference expressed the opinion that a. check should ‘be put on the in-flux of Asiatics, as it was convinced that those people '.ve:o being inrlucml to come here by c«.::}j»:it:l?isf<;
and combines for the purpose of increasing flie lziftefs’ divides-‘is and re dueing the standard of living of file New Zcaland workers. if was decided to confer_ on this qllCsi‘.io.'l with the New Zonland Labour Party.
