GUN ACCIDENT AT RANGIWAEA. Our Rangiwaea correspondent telephoned this morning that a young man named J. Cullinane met with a seriou s gun accident on Sunday morning. He was out shooting with a party of four, but was alone at the time the accident occurred. In getting through a wire fence the trigger of the gun got caught, and the gun went off, the charge of shot going through his left hand, practically blowing off all the fingers but the forefinger. After having his hand dressed, Cullinane was* brought into the Ruanui Hospital, the journey occupplying six hours. On inquiry we learn he is progressing satisfactorily.
