VOLAIRE DEFEATS HOLMES. GREYMOUTH, June IS*.. The French light-weight Doxer Eugene Volaire. who recently fought Havilah Ureu at Wellington, met Harry Holmes, of Australia, on Saturday night in a lifteen-round content for a purse of £3OO. It wa s one of the best fights yet seen on the West Coast, and after going the full Journey, the verdict was awarded to Volaire on points.
