Its functions .are:— (1) To consider questions and ela~ borute plans of defence from the point of view of the military forces, naval forces. air force and lniperizil defence. (2) To advise the Minister regarding the allocation of funds to be devoted to defence. (3) To obtain and collate information from various Dep:lrtlnents of State. (4) To prepare any documents required by the Minister! (5) To furnish such advice as might be given_ 1 (6) To keep adequate records for the permanent information of the Minister. _
