GIRL FALLS FROM TRAIN. DODGING DEATH. After falling from a tain between Red fern ami Macdontildlown (Sydney) one evening a week or two ago, Doris Magh. aged I'A. era wiled about 100 yards across eight sets of rails. She had miraculous escapes from being run down by trains, ami was not discovered till an hour after she had boon on the lines. She reached a point a few yards from the running sheds, where she collapsed, and was subsequently taken to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, sulToring from injuries to the head. The story, obtained in scraps from the young wo hi an by Sergeant Afonin, was that she caught the 5.40 train to Campsie. and while travelling between Rod fern and Macdonaldtown she became rather faint, and walked on to the pkufoim'of the carriage. Tim train was jolting a good deal, and she overbalanced am! fell on to the .rack. The next she remembered was Hint it was quite dark, and, in a dazed condition, she looked around, and Could see trail's mr-ang backward ami forwards. Her head had ’neon injured and was bleeding. However, -he continued to crawl and walk altem'Melv, but soer, found that she was unable to keen n; her feet. On hoi h‘■'inis and knees she made her way across the VmsV lines. How she managed to dodge 'the many trains cannot be even explained by her.
