Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having received the following cahlegr:lnl i:'ronl their London oflico, dated May 31, 1920:—“Wool sales opened. The number of buyers is up to the avomge and com.pet:ition is poor and the selection good. As compared with last sales’ closing rates merino wools of good quality are 20 per cent. lower, merino wools. medium sorts, 15 per cent. lower‘, merino wools, faulty, 15 per cent. lower. Crossbned Iwools, fine quality, 10 per cent. to 15 per cent. lower; crossbred wools, medium quality, 5 per cent. lower; crossbred wools, coarse, rather; lower; slipe wools, crossbred, 10 per cent. to 15 pen cent. lower, difficult to quote in consequence» of large. withdrawals.”
