WANGANUI HOSPITAL BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. ' The monthly meeting ofTl'e Wang‘<lnui Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held Wefinesday morning. There were present: Messrs B. P. Leffiridge (chairman), T. H. Battle, A. Gibbs, W. Ritchie, G. S. Spriggens, J _ Brown, A. G. Simpson, E. E. Fletcher, C. J. Sharpe, and Aldridge REPORT OF EXECUTIVE V COMMITTEE. The Executive Committee reported that a. meeting was held on 28tfi April, when there were present: Messrs Fletcher (chairman), LethSpriggens, Ritchie, Battle, Svenson, Simpson, Brown, H 3119, and Mrs Cumyns.

That the remainder of the salaries of the hospital staff be left as they are. - That the" Medical Superintendent of the Wanganui Hospital be given authority to order a new steriliser, and that the chairman and architect consult with the Medical Superintendent as to what kind of a steriliser ‘would be necessary for the Taihape E Hospital. The report was adopted. CORRESPONDENCE. The Inspector of Hospitals wrote acknowledging receipt of applications ‘for the position of matron at Taihape |Hospital. “After reviewing the application,” he proceeded, “I am of opin‘ion that two of the unsuccessful applicants would have been most suitiable for the posit.ion_,‘but they have !both since taken up other positions. Under the circumstances the Depart[ment is willing to recommend the ‘Minister to approve the appointment. ‘of Miss Webb for six months only, when applications should again be zcalled for.” I The letter was received. ' The secretary of the Otago Hospi-
tal and Charitable Aid Board Wrote,
