The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. distributing Co., Ltd., report having held their usual Taihape sale on the 12th.inst.., when a fair yairding of sheep and cattle came forward. Sheep prices were firm, but cattle were dull. We quote: Empty ewes 24/ tot 26/5, medium sorts 20/9, cull ewes 14/6, springing £l2 2/(5, £l4 10/, to £ls 2/6; a number of unbroken horseswere also disposed of at satisfactory prices. _
The same firm also report holding Monday," the 17th illst., when a fair yarding of sheep -and 115 head of eattheir fortnightly sale at Marten on ‘do come forxvard. Sheep sold well, and although cattle were inclined to drag, yet. practically every line was quittecl under the hammer. We quote: Fat ewes 30/(1,, mixed. age empty ewes 19/2, f.m. breed ewes r.w. Southdowu rams 38/6, 29/1, to 30/, small pen lambs 20/3, empty cows £6, rising 2~year steers £5 7/6 to £6 1/, empty heifers" £5 13/, mixed weaners £4, smaller sorts £2 17/, dairy cows £9 5/, £lO, £ll 5/; hack £3. '
