LADIES’ HUIA HOCKEY CLUB.

A well attended meeting of the Ladies’ Hui?» Hockey Club was held in’ the Fire Brigade Hall last night, Mr Dunbar presiding.

‘At the previous meeting the follow-" ing officers were elected: Patron, Mrs Dr Sinclair; President, Mrs Joblin; Vice-Presidents, Mrs Gifford, Mrs J.’ ‘Webb. Mrs I-lintz, Mrs Quirk, Mrs_ Wakeman, Mrs Bradley, Mrs W. Mo Lennan, Mrs O’Callaghan,' Mrs Gardner, and Mrs Currie; Captain Miss D. Bray; Vice-Captain, Mrs B. Moore; Secretary, E_ Kilkolly; Treasurer, C. Dickenson; Committee, M. Donovan, A_ Campbell, E. Bray, M. Beattie, V. Harris, W. Jeffries, S. Dunbar, T. Sinclair.

It was decided to hold a social and dance on Tuesday, 25th, in the Three Stars Hall.

The secretary was instructed to write to the Old Girls stating their inability to meet them on Thursday next, as they are practising for the seven-a-side tournament to be held at! Feilding on'Jlll'J’e‘3rd:

Mr A. V: Harris was elected to represent the club on t\he union.

The foflowing new imémbers were nominated: Misses Fraser, Chippendale, Gillies and Nixon.

The following players are requested to roll up for practice on the Recreation Ground ‘on Thursday, at 3 p.m.:— D. Bray, S. TreadWell,lMrs Moore, Mrs Jefferies, P. Currie, ’C. Donovan, M. Campbell, L. Coweng M. Beattie, E. Kilkolly, K. Dowling, C. Dickensen, M. Siddle, M. Welsh_ It was also flecided to get the old skating§rink_ for practice twice a. week, and to meet on the Recreation Ground at 6.30 a.m. ‘three times a. week, so that the teams will ‘»be in training for June 3:6. It was decided to send two teams to Eeilding-—an A and B team; the final selection to be made later. Judging from the enthusiasm shown at the meeting the team should be a 3055 strong one for the comingfseason.
