There was a strong market. for prime mutton, but all classes of “inferior fat stock were in poor rcquosf. Extra prime lambs brought from 34/5 to 51/6, prime lambs 27/9 to 34/, medium lmnbs 25/ to 27/6, lighter lambs 20/6 to 21/15. Fat Shecp.—Thel'e was an average _v-arding and some heavyweight sheep were ofl’ered, four wethers realising 5/l/ per head, aiid one £5/11/, While -a small pen of ewes brought £3/1/. For good prime mutton the market was firm throughout. Freezing buyers operated to a slight extent. Extra prime wethers realised 40/6 to 111/, prime wethers 38/6' to 43/ medium 34/ to 37/6, lighter 30/3 to 33/9, extra prime ewes 36/4 to 41/9, medium 30/ to 34/3, lighter 20/2 to 29/6.
Fat C.a.ttlc.—For good prime steers and heifers there was good sale, but medium and inferior cows were almost unsalcnblc.
