IN\'A>3ION OF AMERICANS. -- LONDON, May 1. Mr Bonar Law opened the lrousing czimpaign in the London Guildhall tonight supporting the housing bonds scheme of Dr Addison, Minister for 1 Health. It is estimated that a million houses are required in England alone. He mentioned that l08;000N ‘housing proposals had been finallyl lapproved, more than 100,000 tenders had been approved, and 30,000 houseslwere in course of construction; but lprogress Was held up my the lack of sfiuancial support. He agreed that it lwas necessary that the State should lend its support, as local authorities were unable to bear the whole burden. He announced that the Government would give additional assistance to the poorer localities.
